Joe Bowler
(1928 - )

Joseph Bowler started is professional career at 19 with a sale to Cosmopolitan (1947). Romantic story art for most of the major slicks: Saturday Evening Post, Redbook, Ladies' Home Journal, McCall's, Good Housekeeping, Time; ads for Phillips Morris, Pepsi, La-Z-Boy, Bibb Sheets. Was one of the last illustrators to contribute cover art to major magazines in the late 50s. Moved from illustration to portraits in the 60s, covering first ladies to Miss Americas.
